New research support funding from Kingspan Insulation

The Centre for Sustainable Development is pleased to announce new funding from Kingspan Insulation Ltd.

The funds will facilitate increased research activity in energy efficiency in buildings, and will seek to address actual performance, compared to theoretical predictions. Professor Peter Guthrie, who leads the work for the Centre said that the funding is a significant and generous donation from a single company interested in the industry-wide challenges of thermal performance.  The programme will support the investigation of new energy efficient technologies and approaches to improve the comfort, health and safety of building occupants.

Kingspan Insulation Ltd is part of the global company Kingspan Group plc, one of Europe’s fastest growing building materials manufacturers. Kingspan Insulation Ltd is a market leading manufacturer of premium and high performance rigid insulation products and insulated systems for building fabric and building services applications.
