Dr Leon Kapetas provides expertise in Peru and discusses SuDS in Sutton
In August 2018, Leon was funded by the Global Challenges Research Fund to provide hydrology expertise at a workshop in Piura, Peru. The workshop, which explored resilience in flood disaster management, led to co-creation of an action plan delineating integrated approaches to reducing flood risk in Northern Peru. In September, Leon spent a week on secondment in the London Borough of Sutton, discussing SuDS and the potential for co-benefits as part of the EPSRC funded Urban Flood Resilience project.
